Yesterday on CNN while he was being interviewed by Jake Tapper,

former United States ambassador and national security adviser John Bolton,

who is in a lot of ways a bit of a conservative boogie man, openly admitted

to helping plan to overthrow foreign governments. He literally said in clear words

that he helped plan coups around the world.

Now, many of us of course already knew that about John Bolton and already knew that about the United States government.

But hearing him say it out loud is a revelation in the sense that he

crossed a fence. He jumped a wall where typically we are forced to pretend

as if we don't actually know what we know.
