There is a new American Taliban, and their goal is theocracy, which means to take our religious beliefs, which for them are Old Testament Law, not Christianity, and force secular Americans, non-Evangelical Americans, progressive Americans, women, people of color, into that box.

And this is not hyperbole. This is happening right now tonight in Texas. Leftists are panicking, and now their hysterics are triggered over the belief that America is turning into a Christian theocracy right before our very eyes.

Well, the author of this piece for salon remains undeterred. She believes the Satanists are indeed on the right side of history because they are supposedly on the side of religious freedom.

By contrast, Texas legislatures are on the side of white supremacist theocrats who are trying to impose their fundamentalist version of Christianity on the rest of us.

It's rather interesting, particularly because the hysterics of the article are so far removed from reality.

I mean, the simple fact of the matter is that most Americans actually don't find the Texas abortion ban all that radical.

46% actually support the law while 43% oppose it. That doesn't appear to resemble anything like the radicalized theocracy that supposedly being imposed by a minority of white supremacist evangelicals.
