I think sometimes I try to put myself in the head of like

either the kid reading or the author trying to like reach that kid and here's something I learned

recently from R.L Stein on Masterclass is that you can actually like go a real long way with like scaring a reader or like kind of you know

getting them to have like a big emotion when they're that age if you make the fantasy of it as clear as possible like you make it clear that it's not

really gonna happen that some egg monsters are gonna show up and then you could just

scare the pants off.

And you heard that you learned this on master class.

I did, yeah.

And I think this is just, it's useful information I think when we read other books

like kind of in that genre or for that age bracket.
