Major League Baseball just suspended Yankee's third baseman, Josh Donaldson, for calling

White Stop, shortstop Tim Anderson, Jackie over the weekend, referencing Jackie Robinson.

Donaldson's White and Anderson's Black, so naturally this calls an absolute uproar in

the sports media, leading to a one game suspension for Donaldson, and also the Benches cleared.

Off the cuff, it's just a stupid thing for Donzo to say for many reasons, but before he gets

excoriated by everybody, let's just look at some simple basic facts.

Josh Donaldson was referencing an earlier interview, Anderson, how was sports illustrated,

when Anderson said he was the modern day Jackie Robinson because of how he was trying to

change the game.

Change the game, how you might ask?

Like Jackie did, where his life was threatened almost every day, or have to battle through

segregation like Jackie Robinson did, or maybe you have to go through an internal uprising

from your own team because they just signed a black player?

No.

Tim Anderson was referring to bringing more excitement to the game, after he bat flipped

a home run, got hit the next time up, and the Benches cleared.

What a horrible comparison to what Jackie Robinson achieved for the game of baseball, sports

in general, and the United States.
