Welcome to talking scripture. I'm Bryce and I'm Mike and today we're going to start

Alma's letters to his sons. Alma has three sons, Helaman, Shiblon, and

Coriantin and he's going to write individual letters to each one of them

the Come Follow Me curriculum splits him in half so today we're just going to do his

letters to Heleman and Shiblon and next week we'll do his letter to his wayward son Correantin.

So Mike, tell me what you get out of these letters from a father to his sons.

There's a lot of ways to look at these chapters.

And when I teach younger people,

I don't necessarily take this route,

but I think our audience Bryce is probably the older crowd.

I don't know if there's a lot of teenagers

listening and talking

in scripture. So I'm going to talk about this as relationships and

relationship building and I think one way to look at this is that Alma is

showing us how to be a good parent,

how to be a good mom or dad.

And so look at the last verse of Alma 35.
