Summary

Being a professional athlete is only one slice of the pie for Heather. She has competed in hundreds of events, won five full Ironman races, is the head coach of both the men and women’s triathlon team at Liberty University, runs her own coaching clinics, a present mother to her three children, and a wife.

To say the least, Heather is busy.

In today's episode, we get to hear first-hand what it was like being an Ironman pro athlete, how to take care of yourself as you age, why mental strength is often more important than physical, as well as many more lessons from someone truly living without compromise.

Hey folks, welcome to the Thursday episode of Adventure Sports podcast.

1:06.0

Last Thursday, I played for you an interview from my other podcast called Without Compromise.

1:10.3

It was with Kyle Robidoo, who is blind and an ultra runner.

1:14.8

Today we're talking to another person that was on that podcast.

1:18.2

Typically on Thursdays I'll do a revisited episode. So from our archives, an old but popular episode that maybe a lot of listeners haven't heard.

1:24.0

But now that I'm hosting a second show, a lot of these interviews are really good

1:28.3

content for the Adventure Sports podcast as well. So on Thursdays, I use that as an opportunity

1:34.2

to introduce some of these folks. So today we're going to do that again with Heather Goldnick.

1:39.1

The interviews are a little shorter, a little more condensed, and there's a rapid fire question series at the end.

1:46.0

But yeah, if you'd love to check out my other show, it's called Without Compromise,

1:49.3

and it's put on by Athletic Brewing Company.

1:52.3

So check both of those out, links in the show notes, and I hope you enjoy Heather's

1:57.3

interview.
