0:00.0	What I'm saying is even if people didn't grow up in a full on hardcore fundamentalist Baptist church,
0:08.7	there's just enough of that in the water. There's just enough of that in the cultural milieu of America
0:14.9	that people kind of have picked up the idea that God is violent, angry, and retributive.
0:21.6	And if you're gonna be saved, what you need to be saved from is from that God, and that's where Jesus steps in.
0:27.6	And so you end up with, without it being said just so, because it's theologically untenable to keep pressing this.
0:34.6	But the general idea is that Jesus saves us from God.
0:42.0	Jesus saves us from his father who has obvious anger issues, which, you know, that's,
0:48.3	that rep, that describes a lot of evangelistic preaching in America.
0:53.0	And, you know, people people depending on who they are may
0:57.0	decide okay yes I'm going to I'm going to receive Jesus as my Lord and Savior so that I can get in good with his dad
1:07.0	you know that that may be the doorway into Christian faith for people but it can later on be the doorway out of Christian faith
1:14.3	so if you're going to if you're going to bring people into Christian faith by terrorizing them
1:22.0	evangelism by terrorism when they're 12 years old or 15 years old or 44 years old.
1:30.2	Don't be surprised if some of them, when they get a little older, also for the very same
1:36.5	reason, lead the faith.
1:37.6	I know it seems long, but the throat only takes.
1:43.2	Loans to my soul, feeling the wind, brushing your faith. Seems long, but this road only takes. Floes to us from.
