background of kind of what led you to write this book and a little bit about your business and

things that you've done to scale your own business. Sure. Well, I'm the son of a plumber.

I started in the plumbing and air conditioning business at the age of 12 on the end of a shovel.

And that was there as the motivation to teach me to go to school.

I'm a first generation graduate.

My background is in marketing and accounting.

And so I started my first plumbing company, license in both trades, plumbing and air machine company when I was 26 in Richardson,

Texas. And grew that over five years, scaled that business to about 15 employees, sold it to

Service Master, and joined their group, did join their executive team and did mergers and

acquisitions and was involved in operations with them for two years.

I learned a lot of got my corporate experience there, good and bad, I think. The good, bad and

ugly, maybe I should say. And then I got hired away to be a CEO of a real estate management

company in Memphis Tech, Tennessee. And we were in 14 states, did that for three years.
