Now today I want to talk about the power that comes from having fun and being playful on your path to success. Yep, that's what I said. Power from having fun and being playful. So what do I mean?

Massive success and business and in life hinges on your relationships and in the multifamily business, particularly it equates to relationships with brokers and lenders and investors and sellers and then your ability to influence those people. Now let me ask you, are you going to influence more people being happy and playful or being serious and dry?

Everyone loves to be around happy fun and playful people that make them smile and laugh. Those are the people you remember and want to associate with. Now to be playful, you have to live in the present moment and remember that in everything you do, every job or task that you perform can have an element of fun either in it or that you can create in it.

And know this creativity and innovation comes about and grows when you're having fun and being playful. It's so important to remain playful. So many of us take ourselves much too seriously and we end up in our heads instead of our hearts.

Many people stop playing when they grow old and you know when you think about it, maybe they grow old because they stop playing, right? Now when you dig deep, you realize none of us ever really grow up.

You know, we just learn how to act in public, right? So many of us have created rules for ourselves, not realizing that the more playful we become, the less the rules really matter.

When you're being playful and having fun, you're focused on being instead of doing and you achieve balance. Now when you're living in the moment, you can really see how amazing and magical this life really is.

Now the ultimate goal, the ultimate goal in life is to have a very blurry line between your work and your play and this happens when you love whatever it is you choose to do for work because then you're doing it from a playful place. Now that is a life.

Now I want to encourage you to surround yourself with the things that you love and get rid of everything else. When your playful, it opens your heart, it unclutters your mind and it lifts your soul.

And when you incorporate more playful in a senior life, you don't age. I've seen beautiful playful people in their 80s who are young at heart and a true joy to be around.

Plato said you can discover more about a person in an hour of play than a year of conversation. So work to be so happy and joyous and playful in your life that when people see you, it makes them happy. Be a force for good.

The happiest people on the planet are not the ones that have everything. They're the ones that are grateful and appreciate and make the best of what they have.

Now I'm not saying stop pushing towards your goals and your dreams. In fact, exactly the opposite. But you're going to go much further if you're happy and playful while you do it.

Now I know that you want success. Whatever that means to you. And many people take the frame of mind that they'll be happy when they achieve it.

And I tell my coaching students all the time, don't achieve to be happy. If you want to go further and faster, don't achieve to be happy happily achieved.
