Summary

Remember when my worship pastor, Brandon Frazier, performed a chillingly powerful rendition of "Million Reasons" for our current Life.Church series, Playlist? His passion echoed through our souls as he vulnerably presented his story as well—how he almost lost everything due to a secret alcohol addiction. But God. God didn't give up on him, and his life is now a living example of the grace that's found in Jesus.
Well, BEFORE he was asked to record that song/video and share a piece of His redemptive story, his adorable wife and I had already scheduled to chat about some hard + important stuff at The Messy Table. As usual, God's timing is never what I expect—but it's always better.
In this episode, Kacie Frazier courageously opens up her heart—as well as the doors to their lives—to give us a raw peek into their journey of brokenness, forgiveness, healing, and restoration. The story behind the story, if you will. God's story of redemption.
"It's your story, God. It happened to us, but it's your story," she says.
Kacie is a wife to one, mama of two, foundation coordinator for our local children's hospital, and she leads worship beside her husband every weekend. She's fiery, eloquent, strong, and compassionate. She had a million reasons to walk away, but only needed one good ONE to stay.
You do NOT want to miss the power and wisdom in this episode! So grab some coffee, pull up a chair, and join us at The Messy Table.

Hey guys, you're listening to Episode number six of the Messy Table podcast, where life isn't always

0:14.0

perfect, but God is doing important work. If you're new here, I'm Jen Jewel hosting from

0:19.9

Tulsa, Oklahoma.

0:21.4

And my goal is simply to use an ordinary space like that of a messy table to bring us all together

0:26.6

so that we might encourage each other through real life and remember that God is right here with us,

0:32.4

even in the mess.

0:34.3

Well, I am super excited for you to hear from my guest today.

0:37.8

Casey Frazier is the foundation coordinator for our local children's hospital.

0:42.2

She's also my worship pastor's wife at Life Church and the mom of two beautiful little girls.

0:47.5

But more than that, she's a woman of God who doesn't shrink back from life storms and she's my good friend.

0:54.0

Well, I recently heard someone say

0:55.8

that Christians are a bunch of hypocrites. I'm sure you've heard that a time or two. And I just

1:00.9

want to take a second to set the record straight. It's actually way worse than that. We are all,

1:07.3

in fact, a bunch of undeserving people in desperate need of God's grace.

1:12.4

And what's crazy is that he willingly offers it to us.

1:16.5

So today, Casey is going to bravely open up and share some of the messy inner workings

1:20.6

of a difficult chapter in their family's life, where her husband actually confessed

1:24.7

his secret addiction to alcohol, got help, walked through

1:28.1

the healing process, and now God has turned this into a footnote and is rewriting the rest of their

1:32.9

story. It's not easy to share, as you can imagine, but all the glory belongs to him. And if you're

1:41.2

currently trapped or stuck in a situation and you feel like quitting, giving up or running the other way, we are just praying specifically that you won't just hear our human words, but that you'll allow God to speak to your heart in a very real way.

2:02.9

Hey, Casey.
