While I agree this may be true in some ways, I thought I'd share my experience living in Melbourne after being 49 days COVID-free.

We spent most of the year in lockdown and our second wave lived to what we call stage 4 restrictions.

Only essential businesses allowed to open apart from those who can work at home, mandatory mask wearing anywhere outside your home with large fines,

were only allowed to leave the house for one hour a day of exercise and only within a 5 kilometer radius from home with a $1,200 equivalent fine for the breach.

No more than two people allowed to walk together unless a family with kids, schools closed, daycare closed, not allowed to have anyone at your house, etc.
