We've got a couple of big breaking news stories for you here on Chewing the Fat.

For those of you listening live, it is the 9th of April 2021.

We had a volcano erupt in the island of St. Vincent in the Caribbean,

sending ash plumes 20,000 feet into the air.

So we'll be hearing a lot about that this weekend.

It was an explosive eruption.

And the people were being evacuated.

I know that they said that the eruption was eminent.

Starting, I mean the last couple of days, they've been feeling the effects of it.

This isn't the first time that this volcano has erupted.

It erupted in 1718, 1812, 1814, 1902, says here, 1902, slash 03.

New Year's Eve.

And then on 1979.

And now in 2021.

So they were trying to get people evacuated.
