Summary
But sometimes, when violent men create war, and war crimes, I have to pause or slow some of the core work I do, to try to help refugees, widows, and orphans that are truly in duress. It's a part of my faith. A duty. A sacred obligation that I've carried my entire adult life.
Today I'll break some of this down and say more about our work helping African students and immigrants fleeing Ukraine.

| 0:00.0 | Yesterday I had a first of four upcoming neck surgeries and procedures that I'm having |
| 0:08.2 | over the course of this month and last month. I'm feeling okay today. |
| 0:13.2 | And when it's a day after surgery, you never quite know if |
| 0:16.9 | if you're improving or not, it normally takes a few days for all the swelling and things to go down. |
| 0:21.8 | But you might have seen a post that I made yesterday where I was very, very frustrated. |
| 0:26.8 | One I had just gotten out of surgery and probably shouldn't even have been looking at my phone. |

| 0:49.4 | paid their tuition in Ukraine and they are literally homeless with nowhere to go. |
| 0:54.3 | And thousands, literally thousands of the comments, infuriated me and infuriated a lot of us. |
| 1:02.7 | And I want to unpack and explain what I saw and try to use this as a teachable moment. |
| 1:07.8 | Love and appreciate all of you. Thank you for your support and prayers as I get through all of this. |
| 1:11.6 | Let's get ready to dig in. This is Sean Kane and you are listening to... |
| 1:26.4 | So far, we are really just now getting a functional operation up and rolling to help rescue African |
| 1:49.2 | students and immigrants. We've really been deprioritized. Some of it is racism and the more that I talk |
| 1:58.0 | to African students and the more that I talk to actual good quality people on the ground. Some of it |
| 2:04.7 | isn't, isn't racism but is racial and I rarely split hairs there. Racism is inherent in a lot of |
| 2:17.1 | this but we're trying to rescue students who are so stuck in Ukraine, African students who are |
| 2:23.8 | still stuck in Ukraine and then African students who have crossed over into multiple borders and |
| 2:28.9 | countries and are functionally lost. Most of them with nothing but the clothes on their back, |
| 2:34.7 | no clean underwear or clothes, no money, they've already spent what they had. It is bone cold |
