Hello, soft strong, fish strong nation. We are back another episode of the Fish Strong

Podcast. I am your host, Joe Simons, and this is going to be a hard hitting, hopefully

incredibly informative interview. And the gentleman we have on was a referral. If you guys

watched the podcast, I say watch because it was one of the ones that we had a couple of

people on, and it made it on YouTube as well, so we made a video out of it. And it was

with a gentleman by the name of Greg from Texas A&M, and we talked all about the proper

catch and release methods. How you should actually hold a fish. If you want a fish to survive,

what are the best tactics and ways to make sure that happens? And Greg was just like one

of the most informative people out there, and super knowledgeable. He has this doctorate

in marine science and studying the biology of these fish. And I sent him a message and

I said, hey, Greg, like here in the state of Florida, we are dealing with all kinds of

issues with red tide as red algae. And right now, I'm recording this today with Mike. And

it happens to be election day here in Florida. And I've seen it. I mean, firsthand literally

seeing like fake news and some of it is sponsored by the actual people. So that's not exactly

fake. But I mean, you could tell me some of the stuff is just flat out wrong and misleading.

So I sent Greg a message to Greg, like, hey, do you have anyone who's like the expert,

the guy to go to, they can just literally tell us like it is who's super smart, but can

also kind of dumb it down to our, you know, a second grade fisherman's intellect so that
