will come out somewhere. The question I'm asking is, why aren't more of us reading our

Bibles? It's about time, because we're going there.

mind? Okay, I know I sound like a word nerd here, but just hear me out. The American Bible

Society Annual State of the Bible 2020 report,

yes, it's an actual thing, friends. They discovered that only 9% of Americans read their Bible daily.

That's the lowest number in American Bible Society's decade of research. But if the last

couple of years carry even a fragment of the uncertainty of what the future holds,

we need scripture for guidance and assurance more than ever.

On today's show, we get to have a conversation with author, seminarian, and overall great guy,

Zach Wendell.

Zach and I actually met a few months ago at a Bible teaching workshop held by John Mark Comer

and John Tyson in Portland, and we hit it off immediately. First of all,

he's from Minnesota and he's married to a Puerto Rican. And my fair skin, blue-eyed husband, Matt,

is also Minnesotan and married to a Puerto Rican. So I immediately felt just so understood and

known by Zach. Zach is a passion for experiences, food, teaching, learning, and sharing his

knowledge with others.
