Hey everyone, during the course of this episode we asked people for a hashtag to use on Twitter when you're recommending TV shows and films for us three hosts to watch on this podcast.

0:14.3

And I tweeted it out from the slash from cast Twitter account and over the course of the episode we kind of evaluate different options. I just wanted to tell you where we landed on that.

0:24.4

Right at the top of the show so there's no confusion because at various points we do agree on different things but the winner is hashtag slash tag that's the hashtag symbol and the words slash tag together.

0:39.2

So hashtag slash tag.

0:42.5

Thank you to Martin Valens from the chat room for coming up with that. But if you want to recommend something for us to watch, we're going to start organizing it using hashtag slash tag on Twitter.

0:52.8

Thanks to everyone who's been recommending stuff to us during these times we really appreciate it. Thanks to Martin for suggesting hashtag slash tag. That's the hashtag symbol, the word slash tag. Enjoy the episode.

1:23.8

Hello everyone and welcome to the slash film cast. I am David Chanin with me are to venture hard to where and Jeff Canada. Welcome to the show everyone. What we're going to do on today's podcast is a bunch of film and TV news going on right now. And we generally have not talked about that kind of stuff a lot because slash on daily does a great job of covering that stuff.

1:46.8

But this is stuff that's like significantly reshaping the very industry that we've known for.

1:52.2

I'm sure all of us. Yeah.

1:54.4

paradigm shifts.

1:56.3

So we're going to talk about some of that. We got some what we've been watching for you. We're going to conclude with an in depth review of she dies tomorrow, which is a new movie by Amy Simitz.

2:05.7

That is what is in store. You can find more episodes of this podcast at slash film cast.com email us slash film cast at gmail.com.

2:13.0

I want to start just by saying last week we spoke a little bit about Netflix's new speed feature. You can like speed up, slow down things. We got a number of emails from people who were disabled and disability advocates who did praise Netflix's decision to include these features said they were very, very useful for accessibility standpoint. So just want to acknowledge that. Thank you all for writing into slash from cast gmail.com with your opinions. We appreciate it.

2:39.4

Okay. So so much stuff happened. You know, and of course, a lot of it broke like immediately after we published the episode.

2:48.4

Jeff, I think you might have experienced this as well. Like sometimes I listen to Jeff's podcast DLC and it's like literally after it's released.

2:56.4

A lot of the video game news happens. No, we specifically record our show right before big news breaks. It's kind of our gift. It's like a bonus to have stuff that's like immediately out of date.

3:12.4

Immediately out of date. Immediately irrelevant. I like my favorite is when we speculate on things and then it's cleared up before I even push publish. You know, that's the best.

3:24.4

Well, speaking of speculating on things, actually, before we even get to the film news, I do want to mention one thing that happened this week, which is I made a tweet that I retweet is retweeted from the slash from cast account.

3:37.4

And here, here is the nature of my tweet. I said, for reasons that I will not yet explain. I needed a high res photo of me, Jeff Connata and DaVindra Hardware.

3:46.4

Unfortunately, no such photo exists. However, there is a group photo of all of us at my wedding. Danish Syed, friend of the podcast and really cool guy who has his own podcast called someone should make this, which is a great podcast, by the way, fantastic.

4:03.4

I'm just going to ask some which make this he has on a guest Mike Biffle on this week's episode and that is an amazing guest. Okay.

4:11.4

It's just sure about them talking about video games that somebody should make. It's really great. Creative and fun. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So anyway, he digitally composited the three of us together into one photo.
