brother, the Gritty Bromant. How are you Brent? I'm well. Thank you. Today's

podcast is with our good friend Ryan Lampers. He and I sat down on a phone call

just the other day. So he recorded the audio his place. I recorded mine,

synced it up so it's really clear. I didn't want to do Skype. I prefer if I

have the means to do that to do it that way. So you have real clean audio and

it worked great. The video is not great but the audio is legit. So he and I

talked about elk hunting. Elk hunting is coming up around the corner and I wanted

to talk to him about last year's elk hunts and kind of what... How does

Ryan do it? How does he find... Because he killed three bulls last year with his

bow during our tree season sucker and makes it look easy. And so we were... I

was... I wanted to know kind of... Okay, how did you execute on all of this? The first

half is kind of about where he hunts and how to find... What he does to find

animals. The second part more or less is how did he pull it off? How did he

kill? You know, how did... How did he get in close? One thing that you'll take

away from a Ryan interview about any hunt is that patience and time. Those

are two wicked, effective tools that Ryan employs. Patience and time. Both in

terms of patience to find the animal and then impatience in terms of when he

decides to finally put a stock on an animal. And he has enough experience that

he can determine when the timing is right. He doesn't strike too early and if

he does, he backs out without ever being detected. It's a lot different than a
