Welcome to the program today. And let me be the first to tell you I can confirm the rumors. I do have legs.

That's true. And I will assure you that I have done now over 575 episodes of this stupid show. And every single one of them.

I've sat behind that desk and always had my suit pants on. Now, once was I wearing jeans or sweatpants or shorts or just going bottomless.

That never occurred just so you're fully aware.

Today is our first kind of big Senate preview. We've got the chalkboard out. We're going to go through, set the scene a little bit for you. Where are we in the Senate race and where are we going?

Obviously, as you know, election coverage has been a big part of the show. And my entire history here at the Blaze. I'll be doing election coverage once again on election night.

To hopefully not completely depress you, maybe give you some good news for once. We will see as we get closer. We've been doing this for a long time now. And we want to keep an eye on the Senate. It's incredibly crucial.

We're talking Supreme Court justices on the line blocking terrible legislation. All the things that can happen over the next couple of years.

This is a big one. It's a very interesting race. So let's dive into it here. We'll go through this and we'll be updating this, especially as race has changed.

But really regularly as we get closer and closer to the election, we don't have that much longer. We'll go six, seven, eight weeks, something like that.

So we will go through this a lot as we go through this and as you might know.

Last time I stood in front of this board, I gave you an estimate of what we thought was going to happen in the presidential election.

The electoral vote count 306 to 232 was our prediction. That is exactly what happened.

So obviously I'm going to nail this perfectly every single time I stand up here. Don't worry about it. That wasn't a one time thing. It's going to happen every time.

Let's go through the race here and set the scene. The main thing to start is the Senate is weird, right?

It's not like the house where everything is up every two years. There is a sort of a leaned playing field going on here.

And it starts in favor of Democrats this year. That's an important thing to remember.
