We have to be able to communicate clearly to our employees, to our team, to our subordinates in the military.

And with that communication, if we give them clear guidance, then we can empower them to find the solution on their own.

A lot of people think in the military, we were like, I order you to do this and I order you to do that.

We don't have time for that.

There's so much going on at the same time.

You have to give clear intent and guidance and then empower your subordinates to take the initiative

on their own and let them figure out how to solve the problem. But you can't do that if you can't

Eric has had seven combat tours to Iraq and Afghanistan to include commanding a company

in a battalion in a battalion and a battalion and brigade operations officer in Iraq.

Colonel Lopez has had an extremely decorated career in the military. He has earned four Bronze Star

medals during his combat deployments. He has successfully completed military training in multiple

army schools, including Ranger, Sapper, Air Assault, and Airborne. He was the honor graduate

of Ranger School and Jumpmaster School. Lopez launched the leadership initiative

through YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook titled Lopez on Leadership. His movement connects leaders of

all ranks and branches to mentorship and coaching from senior leaders in the Army. Definitely
