Here's our first guest of 2016. I did yesterday's episode by myself. So today we have the first guest of the year, and it's

a gentleman who has never been on the program before. It's Ivan Pongrassic, who is the William

E. Hibbs, Ludwig von Meese's Professor of Economics at Hillsdale College in Michigan, where

our old friend Brad Berzer, a great friend of the show,

also teaches. He is, he attended the Mises University summer program of the Mises Institute,

apparently just a year before I did. So I am speculating that we are roughly the same age,

but I won't ask questions like that. And I want to talk to,

there's so many things that I can talk to Yvonne about. He's written a great deal of material on a lot

of topics, but I want to talk in particular about something called public choice economics.

You may have heard this term thrown around, and whether you know what it is or not, we can always benefit from talking about it, because I think it does bring a lot of insights to us that we can use in understanding the world, and understanding politics, understanding markets, how they're similar and how they're different. I think it can shed a lot of helpful light on the subject, and Yvonne has

given some great talks on this subject, so I thought he'd be the person to talk to. So, Yvonne,
