Luca Doncic and the Mavs blot out the sun's 300 style,

Drew Breeze hints at returning to the NFL,

and round two of the NHL playoffs is set.

All that and more on Crayon and Cup.

After watching Luca and the Mavs destroy the sun's yesterday,

it got me thinking about Luca's style,

and if there were any comps, maybe even in other sports that mirror his game.

One name kept popping up in my mind, and it's going to surprise you a little bit.

It's Greg Maddox, and I know they play different sports,

one of them six seven, while the other one's barely six foot,

but they both have dominant stuff in less flashy ways.

Greg Maddox didn't throw a 98 mile per hour fastball,

or have a slider that clocks over 90 while breaking harder than the wave

that took out George Clooney in the perfect storm movie.

He said it about 88 to 90.

He could mix speeds and throw any pitch in any count,

and he'd almost beat you in slow motion.

Maddox is an all-timer in Major League Baseball,

and struck out more than me at a college bar when I was in high school.

Luca isn't going to win any dunk contests or blow you away at the combine,

but he does play it a pace that, like Maddox,

isn't athletically overpowering,
