And let me take a moment and lay out the

premise of the pod for you. And if you've been here already, let me reset it. I'm a 58-year-old

talk show host. I've been in this business now more than 30 years. I'm in the Radio Hall of Fame.

And I am hungry. I am determined. Determined to not only remain relevant, but to remain competitive as well.

Not just competitive, but to do great work. In fact, I want to do my best work. I want to make sure

the next 25 years of my life are the best 25 years of my life. And I know that's not going to

happen magically. Just as I know that working really hard will not

ensure it either because I'm working as hard as I ever have and something is still missing.

So I knew. I knew I had to reinvent myself. And no, I didn't need a new strategy or two. I needed

to commit to a whole new lifestyle. I needed to commit to being a new person and developing a new identity. And this is why I'm here. And this is why you're here. And I know it won't be easy. I know it's going to take some time. Believe me, this is episode 56 and I'm still not who I want to be. But I'm a hell of a lot better than I was when I began this project.
