Injured rock outside book Castle this morning.

Large javelin through its chest.

The dads are afraid of me.

I've seen their character sheets.

The castle is made of books and the books are full of trivia and when the dads get the trivia

wrong the books will smash them and the dads will die.

The accumulated sins of all their incorrect role playing will foam up about their

wastes and all the hippie nature druids and stay-at-home coach dads and rock and roll

bards and emotionally detached step-fathers will look up and shout,

save us.

And I'll look down and whisper,

well actually you've confused saving throws and ability checks for pretty much this entire campaign so...

no.

They had a choice all of them.

They could have followed in the footsteps of good actual play podcasts like Crickle Roll or

not another D&D podcast.

Instead they chased a rule of cool and didn't realize it led to me until it was too late.

Don't tell me they didn't have a choice.
