I've got a couple big topics to discuss today in this episode here with my

colleague David Tainter.

How are you?

I'm good, I'm good.

So we're going to talk about sort of new dimensions of the Trump Russia story,

but this has to do with the inauguration.

And every presidential inauguration has an inaugural committee, which is almost like a

campaign in the sense that it is a separate organization it has to follow at

least most of the rules that a campaign does what are the I know you obviously can't be a foreign citizen and contribute.

This is our colleague Josh Kavensky who's, who's, we're, he's actually coming in the next segment segment but let's just pretend that he's

appearing pre-being introduced yeah can you are there limits same kind of limit

system as in the campaign?

In terms of amount, just the amount of cash,

no.

There are really few limits.

And one thing that former inaugural committee chairs

have pointed out to me that Congress has almost like just not regulated this area of campaign finance or of just political finance, but one of the few areas in which it is regulated is saying that foreign citizens cannot contribute money and that's what the investigation is into.

Right.

And so that kind of cuts on a few different levels but at least some of the people who are on the

radar of the Russia investigation
