in light of the emergence of its current leader, Volodemore Zelensky.

My guest is the Professor Emeritus of Harvard University in Yiddish literature,

the national treasure, Ruth Weiss.

And this is why I can make this comparison between your history to our survivability now, the World War II and what's going on now.

Listen to what the Kremlin is saying. They're using the same terminology of the Nazi party.

This is a tragedy.

When they sought to destroy all of Europe.

They didn't want to leave anything, anyone of you, and now from us.

They called it the final solution to the Jewish question.

You must remember.

I'm sure you do.

You will never forget it.

But listen, what they're saying now in Moscow.

They're using the same word, the same terminology, the final solution.

But now it is directed at us.

We just heard the first Jewish leader of Ukraine, a country notorious for its pogroms

against the chosen people, addressing the legislature of the world's only Jewish state.

An extraordinary moment.

So before analyzing what Vlodomor Zelensky said in this address some seven months ago,

let's linger on this from the context of history.
