Welcome everyone to this week's edition of the Bears Talk podcast, episode 54, the first week of July.

I'm Chris Bowden flying solo this week. The Bears report to Bourbonnet in three weeks coming up,

Wednesday, July 26th. And coming up in a few minutes, we'll hear from

former Bears quarterback and one-third of our three-headed monster of the Midway team of analysts

on Bears Pre and Postgame Live. Jim Miller, we're going to talk to him about Glennon and

Trubisky. And in these three weeks leading up to camp, we're also going to take a closer look at what

each of the Bears' division rivals have done since the end of the 2016 season, now as they also head towards

training camp. So Jim lives in Michigan, as you may know, he's pretty well tapped into what the

lions have done. So we'll wrap up with him discussing Detroit's outlook. But before we do that,

you know, we weren't expecting to hear from Bears players during this six-week stretch from the end of mini-camp in June until

they report to Olive at Nazarene. But as we wrote on CSNChicago.com over the weekend, Mitch

Chubisky and the rookie class, they've made a handful of community

appearances last week at Shriners Hospital and a play 60 event for kids. Then on Friday,

Trubisky, Jordan Howard, and Kevin White. The three of them hung out with seven-on-seven

campers at Wheaton-Warrinville South High School, promoting hydration, awareness,

and then joining them on the field in some of the drills. And, you know, if you think about it,

with any bit of luck health-wise, that trio there could eventually be three main weapons of this

team's future on offense. Now, Howard, of course, is the only guy who's proven himself to this point.

So a lot has to happen. And the point of my piece was how it's important for the bears to

sell hope, which is pretty much all they have right now based on them needing to do so after

going, what is it, 14 and 34 over the past three years, you know, probably the most

passionate, largest base of fans we have in this city have been numbed, if there is such a
