| 0:00.0 | Hi, welcome to Big Fat Positive with Shana and Laura. On this week's episode, we have our weekly check-ins. |
| 0:07.6 | We have our special segment called Internet Insanity, where things get ghostly. And we wrap it up with our weekly BFPs and BFNs. Let's get to it. |
| 0:18.6 | Hi, welcome to the show. It's episode 54. Laura, what's your check-in? We're dying to know. |
| 0:25.9 | Hey there. So it's week 22 for us. And do you remember how last week I lamented about the fact that |
| 0:33.5 | demolition was starting in our backyard this week. |
| 0:38.3 | Well, there is a silver lining, which is demolition has started. |
| 0:41.5 | And they are literally jackhammering, you know, it's what, 20 feet from my baby's nursery wall. |
| 0:49.1 | And the wall is like a double door. |
| 0:51.4 | Oh, starting at 7 a.m. |
| 0:52.7 | Which, to be fair, he's never asleep after 7 a.m. |
| 0:56.4 | But he is trying to nap later. And they're jack-harming because they have to take the entire foundation out. But anyway, the good news is that my mom came into town and she couldn't book the Airbnb that she usually books across the street. So she ended up splurging |
| 1:12.8 | and getting a hotel room at the Langham in Pasadena, which is this like super fancy, very old |
| 1:20.8 | school hotel. And she put my name on the room too. And so we basically had a staycation this week. Oh my gosh, |
| 1:30.2 | all week? All week. So she was there all week. And if you remember like the Monday, like, what was it? |
| 1:37.1 | Saturday, Sunday, Monday Tuesday was like crazy hot like in the 110s. So we got to go to buy the pool. |
| 1:45.0 | We got to like go into her air-conditioned king-sized bedroom and like cuddle up under the sheets. |
| 1:51.4 | And like my baby like took a nap while we were awake just making sure. |
| 1:55.5 | He safely took a nap while we watched him. |
| 1:59.0 | And it was kind of awesome. Like at first I was a little disappointed because I thought, oh, you know, I would love to like have time at the house. So she, you know, so I could like get stuff done while she watched the baby. And I'm still, you know, there's always stuff that needs to be done. But once I embrace the fact that, you know, we were on staycation, basically, I was so |
| 2:19.4 | into it. It was just like every morning we just woke up and drove over to the Langham. It's like a |
| 2:23.8 | five-minute drive. Yeah. Went and sat by the pool. It was awesome. It was such a, it was so |
| 2:29.8 | luxurious. So that was exciting. And it was nice because you got to come home and sleep in your own bed. Not that I mean, I was going to say, did you guys like crash in this king bed with your mom and the baby and everything? But not at night. No, no, no. And my stepdad was there for a couple nights. And then he left and then it was just my mom. No, we came home to sleep. So and he got to sleep in his crib, which he's been doing really well. He's only waking up once per night. So, yeah, it's, it's just kind of been a win-win. So I have to say, we did high tea. Which, I mean, he didn't have anything from the high tea, but he really actually enjoyed it. He was a really good boy. |
