Hello and welcome to this special episode of my time capsule. I'm Mike Fenton-Stevens, and my time

capsule is the same thing it was when we first did it in 2020. People tell me five things from their

life, four things they love, and one thing they love, that they'd like to have in a time

capsule. And that's it. And in this episode, my guest is the wonderful Miles Jupp. Now, this is a

special extended interview with Miles, which was recorded before this podcast starting

being broadcast in April

2020 during the early days of lockdown, which explains why Miles is at home with his family,

some of whom you'll hear in this recording, and I'm at home in Tumbridge, Wales. At that time,

it was rather unusual to record things over the internet. Very few of us had even heard of Zoom,

and only actors involved in the odd online advert owned a decent mic, like me.

When we first put this episode out, shortly after my time capture was launched,

we were clearly concerned that we didn't make the episodes too long,

which explains why this recording was edited down to under an hour.

Well, in fact, the conversation lasted over two.

Of course, some of what we talked about was and is private,

and has remained that way.

But there is loads of really interesting stuff

you won't have heard in the original recording.
