So a super massive black hole at the center of a distant galaxy has gone missing.

Now we can write our own jokes and I mean I already have but the bright cluster galaxy

a to-261 dash b-c-c-g appears to have lost its black hole and some scientists think it could now be floating through

space and it could be the first ever example of a recoiling black hole.

That means it's just sent away somewhere far away floating through space.

Oh look, there's a giant black hole.

Now, they're not sure about these recoiling black holes,

but they believe that, you know, this black hole is missing.

They don't know if it's hiding. They don't know if it got

kicked out of this particular galaxy. They don't know if it's a black hole looking

to collide with another black hole,

which I don't think would be pretty.

There's other jokes you could go with that as well.

So supermassive black holes have never been

observed merging so finding evidence of this would be I mean groundbreaking. So

scientist NASA and the European Space Agency are going to focus more research on this

galactic mystery of the recoiling black holes and the missing black hole from the bright cluster galaxy A22261-B-C-G.

I don't think any of us want to be a part of all of a sudden a black hole showing up

or all of a sudden a black hole showing up or all of a sudden two black holes

colliding. I don't think that sounds like a good idea.
