And the interview I thought was, as you'd expect, really interesting and insightful on how to put on race series and how they've done things differently.

Or individual races, what really struck me, actually, is their focus on community and how, I think previously

we've spoken to race directors and we've talked about the impact that COVID, for example,

had on the race series.

The thing that really was hit by fixture clash was volunteers and how they almost have been the bedrock of races and of

club races and when COVID hit suddenly weren't enough volunteers. But what really amazed me,

not only does Matt reveal his formula for races, but how from the very beginning they didn't

even use volunteers, they paid people

because it was so important to them that they created the right atmosphere and almost built

this fan club of staff who be your buddies at every race. I hadn't realized that, an absolute genius.
