back to the show, Matt Ridley, whose new book, The Evolution of Everything,

How New Ideas Emerge, was released just a few weeks ago.

Matt Ridley is the author of an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal that I wanted to talk about,

in particular, involving the relationship between government and science.

And there's a whole chapter in this new book on technology.

And I thought both of these things would make for a good conversation.

And then we'll see what else we can get to that's in the book before we have to say goodbye to Matt Ridley,

who, by the way, is a member of the House of Lords.
