What are you reading, Bria?

Oh, so I just wanted a trip and I read, I think

1,400 books on the plane because I had very long plane

rides and you didn't really sleep and I didn't really do much sleeping and so I

want to talk about one of the books I've already read that I read it was

actually the first book I read on the plane and I got through it very quickly because it was so good. It was called Dread Nation by Justina Ireland.

By the way, the person we, Alex Brown who we're about to interview talks about her about the same book in a moment but I just felt like

we're gonna double plug this book on that's how you know it's good.

I really really enjoyed it.

It is a YA book and it's set during the so it's like, it's basically a history, it's not a history book, that would be weird.

So it's set during a post-civil war, but the Civil war basically was stopped because there was a

zombie uprising during that time and so they had to stop the civil war just call

it off everyone hold on for a sec And all of the slaves were forced to become

people who fought zombies. So they were free quote unquote but they were they

were now like enrolled in this program where they fought the zombies like on the front line.

And so this is the story of one of the women who is sort of in this program where she's learning to fight zombies and she's very good at fighting zombies.

Anyway, it's really great.
