I'm going to guess that most of you listening to this are competitive in some way. Some people are

more competitive than others and competitions take place on way more venues than just the court,

the diamond, the ice or the gridiron. We compete all the time and we love competition so much.

We consume even more by watching other people compete against each other.

Most of us would do many things to compete on the biggest stage under the brightest lights

and have a chance to leave our mark athletically. That is why it shocks me when I see a team not

compete to the fullest extent, especially in the playoffs. That's what I saw last night from the

Sixers, a lack of edge, a lack of dog, a lack of everyone doing what it takes to get the job done

regardless of the circumstance and it wasn't just one player either. From James Harden to Tobias

Harris, from Maxi to Thibal, the Sixers looked like they gave up after the first sign of adversity.

Nobody was willing to speak up during timeouts or get on to another player to give each

other a chance by helping each other emotionally. Embedds beat the pieces right now and I understand

his ineffectiveness somewhat. But after you don't win the MVP, you come out lacking energy the whole

game. There was no verbal encouragement or even showing or venting of frustration.

Make no mistake. Effort gets you through the door. Effort is the any it takes to be able to play

and last night was an embarrassing effort from Philly. I understand that shots don't always fall

and sometimes you flat out just get beat. But how you get beat sometimes can scream way louder

than how much you get beat by. And I'll say this, nobody's beaten testimonies. I can promise you.

We all know who's the boss of the sauce who allows you to get lost in the sauce.
