A few years back, Yannick Chaigneau and Shirley Lam set out on an epic adventure they call the transcontinental triathlon. They started in Alaska and kayaked the inside passage down to Washington. After that, they thru-hiked the entire Pacific Crest Trail down to Mexico. Once off the trail, they hopped on their bikes to complete the journey of a lifetime by biking their way down through Central and South America to Ushuaia. They even did some mountaineering to keep from being bored on the bikes. This is one epic adventure!
