There is no way that if you asked me to write down every possible version of success that I could think of when I was 18, that I would have written Editor and Chief of Entrepreneur magazine.

There's no way I would have written that. It wouldn't have ever occurred to me. I didn't even heard of the magazine.

So if I had focused on whatever the hell my goal was at 18, I would have missed out on what I'm doing right now.

So instead, the goal should just be something that gets you moving.

And then it's okay to revise it along the way.
