I think not being satisfied with some success.

I think the thing, I came in as a number one pick, third pick overall.

And my attitude was I need to work harder than anybody.

I have to earn not only a roster spot, but I want to earn the starting job.

And that's the approach I took every year for 13 years.

Welcome to the next episode of What's Next with Eric Wood. Our next guest is considered to be one of,

if not the greatest lineman, to ever play the game of football. He was in stride into the

Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1998 and was the first ever Cincinnati Bengals player to do so,

and that's Anthony Munoz. Anthony was a left tackle for the Bengals for 13 seasons from 1980 to 1992, earning 11 Pro Bowls,

nine first team all pro awards, and he also won the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award in 1991.

Today on the show, Anthony and I talk some balls.

Specifically, we get into his transition in and out of the NFL,

how he maintains such a high level of play throughout his career and his thoughts on the current

Cincinnati Bengals. Also, you'll hear some valuable lessons on this episode from Anthony about

parenting kids in sports and modeling hard work and discipline in your life. It's an honor to have

someone like Anthony on the show. After sitting down with him, I can absolutely see how his work

ethic and drive led him to a Hall of Fame career. I looked up to him so much as a kid growing up

in Cincinnati and still look up to the man he is today. We recently received a review from SB champs 2020.

I'm assuming that's Super Bowl champs and I'm assuming they're referring to the Bills.
