bigger and fatter and sweatier. Thankfully, it's cooled off in Los Angeles, which is miracle. But yeah,

it's been good. I got into a new show. I've been watching Penny Dreadful, which really harkens to my

goth side. So we'll binge watching there. It's pretty fun. I have such a fantastic episode for you

today. I'm so stoked to get into this. This is kind of a unique episode because it was generated the

idea for it was generated by a listener, this guy Eric who wrote in, who's a student. And he told me

about this thing called self commodification. And I like, I'd never heard the term for it like

that. And I've been going down this rabbit hole this week of self commodification. And what does

it mean? And how does it affect people? How does it impact specifically people who grew up in

and know nothing outside of it? So I have a need surprise. We're going to have Eric on here.

He's going to Skype in a bit later to tell me about what it's like growing up in a culture where

the self has come out of it. Because me, I was born in 1976 in a different time in a time where

there is kind of a separation between the self and an advertising and advertising was kind of

mocked and things have changed since then. So we'll get into that in a moment.
