before that. And I was at CPAC in Washington, DC. I was there doing a live verdict show with

behind the scenes look at CPAC and why it made me feel really, really good about 2020.

But first we got to cover the biggest news, which is that Pete Buttigieg has dropped out of the race.

This was such great news when I got on my plane. I get on my plane leaving DC and I think,

I don't know what's going on. What's really what's the interesting thing that's happening right now?

Boom, Pete Buttigieg. But it wasn't just a blessing. It wasn't just great news. It was also sort

of a curse. It was a blessing in the sense that Buttigieg was the oiliest, most deceptive,

dishonest, smarmyest candidate in the race. He was by far my least favorite candidate in the

entire democratic field. So I'm glad that the most culturally radical smarmy dude is not going to

be the president. But it's also kind of a curse. It's also kind of sad because what it means is

that a significant alleged moderate, self-styled moderate candidate is not going to stay in

and duke this thing out all the way to the convention. I wanted to see a pure democratic brawl

all the way. And Buttigieg's dropping out means that the allegedly moderate side of the party
