Summary

Steve Backshall is a BAFTA-winning wildlife presenter, explorer and author. His hit BBC series Deadly 60, where he tracks down the world’s most remarkable predators, is a huge hit amongst kids and adults. A seasoned adventurer, he has led expeditions to some of the planet’s most remote and dangerous environments, including uncharted jungle rivers and unexplored cave systems. Steve has presented numerous wildlife and adventure documentaries for the BBC and Sky, including Expedition with Steve Backshall, Lost Land of the Jaguar, and Deadly Pole to Pole. He’s also a bestselling author of both fiction and non-fiction, and holds honorary doctorates for his work in conservation and education. His latest project is the podcast That’s Just Wild, co-presented by wildlife biologist Lizzie Daly and journalist Sarah Roberts, they dive deep into the wonders of the natural world. From braving Arctic extremes to swimming with sharks, each episode begins with a bold superlative—Spiky, Freezing, Venomous—and unfolds into remarkable tales of the wild.
