Hey everybody, this is episode number 500 of the breakdown.

I can hardly believe it.

And on last Thursday, when we realized that we were coming up on episode number 500,

I told our staff that we wanted to make it a special episode.

And I had some thoughts and plans and ideas for that.

And then I came to understand a horrible, horrible case of a family, a young black family

that has had their two children, including a newborn baby, snatched away from them.

It is what they are calling and I agree, a legal kidnapping.

It is despicable.

It's literally one of the worst things I've ever seen.

And I want to unpack and explain it and tell us what we can do to help and even talk about

how my family and I closely identify with what they've experienced.

It's unspeakably painful and infuriating and if you're not familiar with it, let me unpack

and explain it.

This is episode number 500 and what better way for us to celebrate this episode than leaning

into an injustice and talking about how we can help.
