Summary

As Newsom programs his GPS for “revenge“ in the wake of his recall election, the question on everyone’s mind is—what’s next for California? Liz unpacks the not-so-pretty picture of what’s coming in the near future (vaccine mandates all around!) and how California’s little tyrant is still standing in the first place. On the cultural front, universities have become a breeding ground for Marxism, and the proof is in this video of students throwing flags from a 9/11 memorial in the trash (yes, you read that right). Plus, here’s everything you need to know about air travel safety and COVID. This is The Liz Wheeler Show. -- Grow thicker, healthier hair with Nutrafol. Yes, Gavin Newsom, as much as it pains me to say Gavin Newsom won the recall effort in the state

0:06.9

of California. He's still a governor of the state of California. And this is a shame, right?

0:11.1

I tried not to get my hopes up in the lead up to this election. I really tried to stay emotionally

0:16.7

distant from it, but that doesn't work because I love California and I'm passionate about California.

0:22.4

And I think Gavin Newsom is an absolute tyrant. So it didn't work not getting my hopes up because

0:26.4

I am emotionally involved in this. And so yes, I was very disappointed that Gavin Newsom,

0:32.4

that he basically won the recall effort that the people of California did not recall him and that

0:35.9

Larry Elder is not the governor of California. And the natural question, of course, is why? Why

0:40.3

did Newsom win? Why did Larry Elder lose? What happened? What went wrong? And I've spent the

0:47.1

past day thinking about this as I think we often do. I mean, Monday morning quarterbacking is the

0:53.0

easiest thing to do, right? When you have a loss. But I've spent a lot of time thinking about this.

0:58.3

And I think sometimes you just lose. And there's a variety of reasons why that happens. And it's not

1:05.5

necessarily one critical error. It's not necessarily one reason why Newsom won. So my analysis here is not

1:13.2

necessarily, I'm not polypositive about this. And I'm not Debbie Downer about this either.

1:17.5

There are some practical reasons that what happened in California happened in California. And it is

1:22.5

important to understand what these reasons are so that we can do our best to prevent them from

1:26.4

happening again. And so here's what I would say. I would say looking at the state of California,

1:31.2

looking at the fact that this recalled effort has now been ongoing for more than a year. One of

1:35.5

my primary questions is where was the National Republican Party? Where was the GOP? Where was

1:43.1

Rhonda Romney McDaniels, who's the chair of the RNC? Where was the Republican Party? Because

1:49.4

if you notice in the state of California, this was very obvious to us even during the presidential

1:53.5

election in 2016 and in 2020, the RNC and the National Republican Party have essentially written
