There is a sense God gives us these relationships, ultimately, to help us better understand

Himself. And so our parents, our fathers, our mothers, are there in our lives to better help us

understand Him. And so you think to yourself, how could a father, for example, who is not great,

how does honoring him tell me something about God? Well, perhaps it goes like this. There are times

in which we simply cannot understand what God is doing. And yet He calls us to trust and honor

Him. So while your earthly father doesn't, literally doesn't know what he's doing sometimes.

And perhaps what he's doing is sinful. By you honoring him, it's reflecting when your heavenly

father is doing something incredible that you don't understand. He still calls you to honor him.

It's like a two-year-old wanting to play with knives or go play out on the freeway. And

they don't understand why you're depriving them of fun. Or God is this cosmic killjoy who wants

to suck out the fun out of our lives. And the truth of the matter is, no God knows what is best.

There is a common phrase that is heard here on set of the Living Waters podcast. And that phrase

is save it. Save it. And what do we mean by that? We banter before we banter friends. And oftentimes

the banter we're bantering is such good banter that we say, save it. You just blew a chance at

something wonderful. The banter that we banter is better. I like that rakeover. Yes, seriously,

we chat about stuff and it's so interesting. So I just yell out, save it. We never, we never

repeated. Well, we're gonna sit. Sometimes we breathe and race us save it. Oscar, what are you saying?
