And so along with these benefits and the teachings in New York and the peace walk and

and so forth. I also did some teaching with a colleague and friend Mark Epstein

who's a psychiatrist in New York trained Harvard Medical School,

written a number of wonderful books on Eastern Western Psychology,

a good friend.

And we had 600 healers, mostly in therapists, that we taught for a weekend these trainings of mindfulness and compassion

and modern neuroscience how to work with it.

And Mark told a beautiful story that comes from the

Buddhist texts. It's the account of a woman named Patachara and Patachara had terrible tragedy before her family, where her children and her husband were killed.

And the family that she thought she was related to wouldn't help her and she was

just in enormous grief and someone said well there's this great teacher

...
