Megan makes the reason case for capitalism and markets in a time when both the left and

the right are offering up their own critiques of capitalism.

The borrowing from Winston Churchill, she says, is the worst way to design an economy,

except for everything else that's been tried.

This episode offers a free market perspective on the emerging questions of free trade,

regulation of big tech, the challenges facing local journalism, and more.

So the reason that we wanted to have you on here is because you wrote a spirit of defensive markets

recently, while also acknowledging much of the challenges that's facing capitalism.

Right now we're in a time where both the left and the right, they're increasingly skeptical

of free markets ability to create a good society.

And I think that the reason why what you wrote was so relevant was you're talking about how

most of the prosperity we see, right, the living standards, the scooters, the ubers,

but also just basic technology like the iPhone are enabled by markets.
