Welcome to another edition of trail runner nation. My name is Scott war. And I'm Don Freeman and today we're going to take a glimpse at on the trail running scene on three continents, Europe, Asia, and here in the US, we'll hear a bit about what's going on and talk about the differences trail running on each one of these three continents.

Our guests are journalist Mark Agnew and Hong Kong race director and podcast host Jamil Kurian Arizona and sponsored black diamond trail runner Hilary Girardi and Chamonet France. Welcome to all of you.

Let's start with Mark. Mark is an outdoor and extreme sports editor from SCMP. That's the South China morning post. And he's living in Hong Kong now for about seven years.

Mark, welcome to trail runner nation. Now before we talk about trail running, we have to briefly touch on rowing because you need to know. Mark has tried to roll across the Atlantic two times, Freeman.

Yeah, it's sort of there's a bit of a community of ocean rose, just like trail runners, but if you haven't heard of them, then they sound a bit nuts. Yeah, I've attempted to roll across the Atlantic twice, both times, of course, not embarrassingly not very far before I've had to be rescued.

But hopefully that will not be the case of my third attempt. Next year, I'm moving on from the Atlantic. I'm trying to be the first person to row the Northwest passage, which is the Arctic route that goes over the top of North America, linking the Atlantic and the Pacific. But, you know, there's a lot more variables there. So I could end up being rescue for a third time, which would be a little bit embarrassing.
