Today's podcast is with Corey Jacobson. Elk season is right around the corner when it's almost today is the 23rd of July. So we got about for some couple weeks and there are

Elk season starts for other September closer to September 1st. But the Elk Rod is on the way. Elk hunting is about to to commence. So we decided to throw a podcast together that is a conglomeration of past shows we've recorded. This one is Corey Jacobson and Corey, you know, 12, 15 time, 10 time world elk calling champion.

As he is, is a wealth of information when it comes to Elk hunting. So on today's episode, my brother Brent, he took the time to comb through our shows, previous shows we've done with Corey. This one 16 shows with Corey Jacobson. So there you have it folks. There's quite a few in the the old library.

And you cherry picked things that you liked or that you thought were would make a great show. And in this particular show, it's about confidence and elk hunting.

Yep. This won't be the only podcast that we do. You're going to get as some other ones. But this one with Corey specifically, I overall there was a general theme of confidence and what you needed to have confidence in.

It's interesting as you go back and you listen to all these 16 shows recorded with Corey and you start cherry picking some things. You start to see a common thread that is covered in multiple shows and confidence is one of them.

And so it's really interesting to do this exercise. And many of you have probably already heard these shows you may have forgotten.

Or many of you may not have ever heard them because I'm 400 shows deep into the gritty podcast and you know, these are scattered throughout. And so that's one of the reasons we wanted to refresh some of that content and its gold is older.

But we want to bring it to the forefront right here before elk season. We're going to do that with a few other people primarily around elk hunting for the next few weeks. So we're looking for those.

You had a quote. Yeah, there's a quote that Corey says in the podcast and he says quote confidence creates success and success creates confidence, which comes first. I don't know. But they come from experience.

Unquote.

That's pretty deep. It's pretty deep. Basically, you need some experience. Experience is king. Experience is going out and living through the unknown.

You know, it's it's conquering the unknown. It's going out and doing something unknown to you previously. It's kind of the scary place.

You know, there's what you know and what you don't know. And yeah, going out in the woods in bear country with a little can of bear spray for the first time. That's a little unknown.

Yeah, that's a little little intimidating and then calling elk at the same time. Right. Definitely a you know, even camping outdoors for some people. You know, I take it for granted. I've done it my whole life. But there are many who have never spent a night outside in a tent in the wilderness.

So the unknown. It's a scary thing doesn't even matter what it is. If you if you have an experience it before it can can be intimidating with that's where the growth occurs. That's where the confidence wells up from.
