1:14.9	Hey Annie, how are you? I'm so good. It's so good to see you. Good to see you too.
1:19.6	Awesome. So why don't you sort of take us back to the beginning of your relationship with alcohol?
1:26.1	Like a first drink or the early days? Where did it all start for you?
1:30.3	Yeah, so I mean, I guess I sort of just want to give people an overview of my story.
1:35.4	I'm a 40-year-old gay man living in New York City and I have not had a drink in almost three years.
1:42.0	It's been a thousand plus days at this point. And I come to this point after a really,
1:48.7	really difficult journey of my own drinking and my ex-boyfriend struggling with alcoholism
1:56.9	for many years and then passing away from it four years ago. The time is flying by. It's crazy.
2:04.7	So a lot of my adult life has been shaped by alcohol taking things from me and I wrote about
2:11.4	my story in depth for New York Magazine in the Cut, which was really cathartic and helpful.
