OTA edition or the post-second OTA that's open to the media edition as we got to see the guys out on the field.

First of all, the body count in terms of who was not out there of the notable names.

Of course, we expected Danny Trevathan, but also, and they'll rotate these guys in and out,

not necessarily a sign, an ominous sign, but Leonard Floyd, Eddie Goldman out there.

Second straight week, we did not see Zach Miller out there either.

I don't know if that's a total surprise. But this was wide receivers day. Victor Cruz and Kevin White

taking the podium, among those others who spoke off to the side. And let's start out with Victor

Cruz, the newest name who joins this wide receiver room. And it's starting to get a little

bit crowded in there. But Victor Cruz meeting the media, and it's starting to get a little bit crowded in there.

But Victor Cruz meeting the media, and JJ, I think for the most standpoint, things that stood

out, he thinks he can get back to the way he was three and four years ago prior to that

pettler tendon, and then the calf injury, eventually get back to there at what I believe

30 years old.

And he realizes that part of this whole equation, too, is in a fairly inexperienced room.

This Bears management and coaching staff wants him in a mentor role, too.

Yeah, it's kind of the best fit for him.

He said, you know, it wasn't just the opportunity.

That was obviously what attracted him first to the Bears, but the opportunity to kind of teach a little bit to help maybe develop

a Kevin White or a Cameron Meredith. He specifically pointed to Cameron Meredith when he was asked,

you know, who maybe jumped out of you among these receivers, and the first guy out of his mouth was
