0:29.1	And this evening, we're excited to have one of Sam's favorite authors, Brian David Bruins.
0:34.2	He wrote a book that Sam read on our 11-night Southern Caribbean sailing in 2019. So I guess
0:39.8	it was last year called Cruise Confidential. And he's also an award-winning author of several books
0:44.8	that we'll talk about on the show and the host of the monthly publication travel mishaps.

1:00.0	Hello. Thanks for having me. Yeah. Thanks for coming on. So we really wanted to have you come on to talk mostly about Cruise Confidential and its three sequels, although we know that you've written some other
1:05.3	books. So we'll definitely want to talk about those a little bit. And I should say this is almost an
1:09.4	extension. We had David Koenig on who did, he does, he writes a lot about what I'll call the insider scoop on
1:15.7	Disneyland and Disney World. And so now we get to kind of come into the insider scoop about
1:20.3	cruising. So this is going to be really fun, I think. So yeah. So I guess what we wanted to find out was
1:25.3	before we dive into the books is your cruising background,
1:29.9	meaning did you ever cruise, like as a passenger before you started working on Carnival ships?
1:37.4	I never cruised before I worked on them. And I might add, I have never cruised since working on
1:43.6	them.
1:45.7	Though I've tried.
1:47.3	Long story short, after having lived at sea for four years and cruising for free, I didn't want to pay for it.
1:55.8	I moved to Las Vegas, which honestly, a casino here on the strip is very similar to a cruise ship
2:02.2	as far as how it's structured and how it feels inside. And so finally, after like 10 plus years
2:10.3	to my wife, I'm like, honey, we're doing it. Because she worked on cruise ships too. Right.
2:14.3	And I'm like, we're doing it. This is the year. And then COVID happened. And we do it.
2:21.1	You told me before the show that you almost worked on Disney Cruise Line. And I take it that at some point
