Everybody welcome to Madderie's excellent adventure. I'm

I'm Dory. We are coming at you from what has been a rainy weekend.

Dory's three tennis matches have been cancelled. All cancelled. The courts were too wet. The public courts wet. The private courts wet. What is this? What are we? What are we in Seattle? This is

ridiculous. We live in Southern California. We're supposed to be able to play tennis all year.

That's sort of the bargain, right? I mean, phew. I've been enjoying the rain. Personally, I've been enjoying the rain.

Everything does look very verdant.

My dad is in town, and Henry and I picked him up from the airport this morning

and he wanted to go to the beach.

So we went to the beach and I was looking up at the Santa Monica, the cliffs.

And they are green, like super green. I've never seen them so green.

It's like, oh, there's all the rain.

This occasionally happens here.

It does.

Very, just turns to everything very lush.

Yeah.

Where it's normally just a desert.

Dry as a bone.

Yeah.

Anyway, Dory's into tennis, some sort of tennis league. I don't quite understand it, but unfortunately, no tennis this weekend.

I'm in a recreational USDA tennis league.

I'm actually, I mean, I'm on two teams at two different levels. One of them I'm playing up, so it's not exactly my level, but you can play up, you can't play down which has been nice because you know I

get to play a little bit more but a lot of my matches have been reined out
